This site does not collect email addresses. Subscribing to the essays happens on Substack, by following a link from this site. When you do that, your data is handled by Substack under its own privacy policy, not this one. See Substack's privacy policy.
The list of recent essays on the home page is fetched from the public Substack feed by a server function on this site. It reads only what Substack already publishes openly (titles, dates, summaries, links and images) and stores none of your personal data in doing so.
The hosting provider (Vercel) may collect standard server log data including your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. This data is used for security and performance only, and is governed by Vercel's privacy policy.
This website does not use marketing or analytics cookies, and sets no cookies beyond anything strictly necessary for the page to function. No cookie consent banner is therefore required. If this ever changes, this policy will be updated and a consent mechanism added.
